US drives clashed
In the U.S. town of Wilton Manors in the state of Florida, a motorist drove into spectators at the Pride parade on Saturday night. One of the victims died, another was seriously injured. According to the Mayor of Fort Lauderdale, the driver of a pickup truck was pretending to be part of the parade when he suddenly accelerated and drove into the victims.
Mayor Dean Trantalis said it was a deliberate, terrorist attack on the LGBTI community. However, local authorities are not sure.

The driver has been apprehended. According to witnesses, he is said to have said it was an accident. Onlooker Christina Currie told the South Florida SunSentinel “All of a sudden a truck came through the fences at high speed. It was absolutely intentional.”
Democratic politician Debbie Wasserman Schultz took part in the parade and was nearly hit by the pickup truck. She came off with a fright.
The parade has been cancelled and a thorough investigation into the incident is under way.
