Preta Gil moves Salvador during a family show: ‘I’m going to heal myself’

Salvador was moved, on the night of Friday, June 30, with the show by the Family Gil, at Concha Acústica TCA. With the tour “Nos, a Gente”, Gilberto Gil took everyone to dance and sing successes of his career.

“Let me tell you who I am. I’m Preta Maria, a black woman, fat, bisexual, I’m being treated for cancer, I’m going to get better. I’m single. And I am the daughter of the immortal Gilberto Gil”, said the singer, prompting screams, whistles and applause from the audience that occupied all the venue’s spaces.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Accompanied by his children Bem, José, Preta, Nara and Bela, grandchildren João, José and Flor and daughter-in-law Mariá Pinkusfeld, Gilberto Gil, who celebrated his 81st birthday on June 26th, had tickets sold out for both presentations in the city, after touring Europe last year.

The musician and his family thanked everyone for their presence and affection. All? More than 5 thousand people in Concha Acústica and all in one voice, singing, celebrating, shaking the space.

NOTHING TAKES PEACE FROM PRETA

A little before the show, Preta Gil used her Instagram profile to make a post about “peace and happiness”. The singer used social networks and announced that she will perform in Salvador, Bahia, sending a message to the haters very directly.

“Today is a very special day for our family, our beloved show #nosagent at Concha Acústica at Teatro Castro Alves, in our beloved city Salvador! And there’s still the launch of the second season of our series Traveling with the Gil. We are having a party, nothing and no one will disturb my peace and happiness today. No matter how hard they try!”

BETRAYAL

On Thursday, June 29, Preta vented about her ex-husband Rodrigo Godoy’s betrayal, which happened in the midst of treatment for bowel cancer. However, a few hours later, the singer regretted it and deleted the publications, but before that, she gave an explanation.

“I deleted the post because the lovebirds begged me and I really don’t have the health for that. They want to silence me, they don’t understand that it’s not about them but about my life. (About) the consequences of their attitudes in my treatment, my feelings and my pain!”, she vented in Instagram stories.

Rodrigo and Preta broke up in May, after the artist found out that he was cheating on her with his former stylist, according to information from journalist Léo Dias. Despite not talking much about the subject, the singer indicated in the publication that the repercussions of the case bothered her ex-husband and his mistress, which would have made her delete the post.

Earlier, the singer had posted a text about jealousy, empowerment and evidence in stories. “Because of my empowerment and sisterhood building with women, I let two things slip: my sixth sense and my intuition. And I thought it didn’t suit the woman I am to be jealous. It’s not about silly jealousy, it’s about evidence, ”she began.

“Yes, I put someone to work inside my house who, with his dissimulation and bad manners, did what he did. And look, there were people who warned me and I even said she was crazy. The moral of the story is: if I had followed my intuition, they would not have hurt me so much.”
