Real Madrid defeats Chelsea and opens up advantage in the clash

Accustomed to decisions, the Real Madrid team is closer to playing in the semifinals of the European Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti’s team beat Chelsea by the score of 2 to 0 this Wednesday and have a good advantage in the bag for the next clash to be played next Tuesday.

In the first half, Madrid didn’t start so well. The first good chance of the match went to the English team. Kanté launched João Félix who started from the field and had legal status. The referee expelled the English player, without the aid of video refereeing. The goal that would enshrine the Meringue victory came 15 minutes later. In a short corner play, Kroos found Vinícius Júnior in the area. The Brazilian adjusted for Marco Asensio in the half moon and the Spaniard finished low, in the right corner of Kepa, who could not make the save.

Chelsea still tried to score a goal to reduce the loss, but little scared the Madrid defense.

After the match, Vinícius Júnior was named the best player on the field. The Brazilian striker was the Real Madrid player who touched the ball the most times. Vinícius participated in the two goals of the Spanish team, finishing in the first goal and passing to Asensio to score the second.

The return match between the two teams will take place next Tuesday, April 18, at Stanford Bridge stadium. Before the two teams have matches for the national championships. Real Madrid face Cádiz away from home on Saturday. On the same day, Chelsea face Brighton at home.
