Silvio Santos spent his vacation anonymously in Florida

This Saturday (17), presenter Silvio Santos passed away and after his departure some issues arose about his house in Orlando. The house was bought by the businessman, to spend his vacation without the harassment of fans.

For many years, Silvio limited himself to walking the streets of São Paulo. His daily routine consisted basically of going from his home in Morumbi to the SBT studios. When there was a change in his routine, he would go to his friend Jassa's salon, located in Jardim Paulista. Silvio kept his private life private when he was at his home in Orlando, USA.

House in the USA

He bought this house located in the Celebration neighborhood in Orlando, USA. This neighborhood is popular among artists, and is a planned area close to the city. Silvio's house has a total of five bedrooms and when he bought it, it was worth approximately US$1 million. During his vacations, he would take some time off from his routine and spend time with his family in the United States. Even though he is a public figure and is very welcoming to his fans, he has a more reserved attitude in his private life. He was known by Brazilians who happened to visit the Celebration area, which is a region with charming architecture, beautiful landscapes and a peaceful atmosphere.

Cause of death of Silvio Santos

He had been hospitalized for 17 days at the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, which confirmed that the presenter died of bronchopneumonia after H1N1. He was admitted on August 1st to undergo medical tests that could not be performed at his home. In July, he had a case of H1N1 and was hospitalized, but was discharged.

Forbes magazine reported that Silvio was one of the richest men in the country, with a fortune of R$1.6 billion, making him the third oldest billionaire in the country. He is behind only Daniel Miguel Klabin, 94, with a total worth of R$1.8 billion for being the owner of the largest paper producer and exporter in the country, and João Jacob Vontobel, 94, who has R$2.8 billion and is the owner of Vonpar, which operates in the food and beverage segment.
