The Division 2 will not have native versions for PS5 and Xbox Series

Ubisoft has stated that it is unlikely that The Division 2 will receive native versions for PS5 and Xbox Series, as this would end up leaving behind players who are playing on last generation consoles.

“This is unlikely because if we really wanted to take full advantage of them, as we only have one version of the game available on all platforms, taking full advantage of them would mean that the game would no longer be available on previous generations”, explained the director of creation, Yannick Banchereau, to the website MP1st.

“We still have a lot of players who play across generations, and we’re not ready to leave them behind and ask them to upgrade. Right now, we’re trying to make sure that every time we add something, it still works smoothly on the previous gen as well.”
