Wagner group gives up rebellion against Putin and shakes Russian government
The leader of the mercenary group wagner announced, earlier this afternoon (24), that it has given up the rebellion against Vladimir Putin. According to him, there were many lives threatened in the combat.
The group’s troops have already withdrawn from the place where they were camped. Yevgeny Prigozhinordered his soldiers back to the Ukrainian bases.
The president of Belarus mediated the negotiation. Alexander Lukashenko released an audio in which Prigozhin confirmed that he had agreed to the surrender.
The leader of the Wagner group has yet to publicly confirm the agreement, but aerial images captured the withdrawal of mercenary troops. The agreement was confirmed by the Russian government.
The Brazilian government has not yet commented on the matter. According to the president Lulahe preferred to inform himself before transmitting any opinion.
The rebellion lasted less than 24 hours. Even so, it was considered the worst political crisis in nearly 25 years of Vladimir Putin’s rule.

The group wagner was founded in 2014 and has always supported the Kremlin. They helped the government to seize Ukrainian territories in the same year.
Already in the war of Ukraine the mercenaries were used to take the front line in the battle. The Wagner group is responsible for the victories in the cities of Bakhmut and Soledar.
The sanctions of the richest countries in the world against Russia because of the war affected the finances of the mercenaries. Yevgeny Prigozhin needed to recruit Russian prisoners and civilians to expand the group during the war.
In Ukraine alone there are 20,000 members of the Wagner group. Interestingly, the Russian Constitution prohibits the existence of private military groups. The Russian government, however, declares the group to be a privately owned site armed security.
Russia has contracted the group to operate in explorations in Africa. Mercenaries have influenced politics in African countries and acted in some conflicts. The number of mercenary groups has increased in the world, thanks to the demand of some countries for services.
