Zayn releases single “Alienated”

This Friday (12), British singer Zayn released his newest single titled “Alienated” which will be part of his new album “Room Under The Stairs”. The singer, just 31 years old, will release his fourth studio album in a solo career, since he became known as a member of the boyband “One Direction”, which became known worldwide and attracted thousands of fans around the world.

Zayn is in a new phase in his career, and the single “Alienated” features a romantic song, which highlights his voice showing his falsetto when singing the song. The most impressive thing is that in addition to making the song available, Zayn also recorded a live performance video with a backing band, which makes fans very happy, as it has been almost eight years since Zayn performed, since his last performance. which happened in 2016.

The album “Room Under The Stairs” will be Zayn's fourth studio album; and he further explained that the album does not have a specific musical genre”I don't know how to define the genre. I don't want to say it's country, because I don't think it's country. I think it's more my version of the Blues. You can't define them in one genre, they are influenced by other music”, said Zayn in a teaser.

Early career

Known as Zayn Malik, his name is originally Zain Javadd Malik, born on January 12, 1993, in the city of Bradford in England. The 31-year-old British singer rose to prominence at the age of 17 when he participated in the seventh season of the British reality show “The X Factor” in 2010.

Zayn started out as a solo singer on the show, however, producer Simon Cowell and singer Nicole Scherzinger decided to put Zayn, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan to compete as a group on the reality show; they came in third place in the season, but gained notoriety, even though they didn't win the show.

However, in 2015, Zayn was the first to leave the boyband claiming “he wanted to be a normal 22-year-old”, but in 2023 he participated in the podcast “Call Her Daddy”, where he revealed that his departure was because the other members no longer more people were signing contracts to stay in the band, showing that the boy band was ending; in addition to revealing that he wanted to be the first member to launch a solo career.

And in fact, shortly after Zayn left the boyband, One Direction went on hiatus in 2016, at the height of their success; and currently all members pursue a solo career. One Direction is still missed today by fans who followed the career of British singer Zayn and the other members from the beginning.
