premier fan misconduct
The Premier League announced new measures on Monday to prevent fan misconduct. The English league will already be punishing more severely from next season.
The Premier League is particularly concerned about anti-social behaviour by fans, such as entering the pitch, setting off fireworks and discrimination.
“Anyone who carries or sets off fireworks or smoke bombs will automatically receive a club ban from next season,” writes the Premier League. “These prohibitions may also be extended to accompanying parents or guardians of children participating in the activities.”
“The names of all offenders are passed on by the clubs to the police and prosecution can lead to a criminal record. This can have consequences for a person’s career or education and can even lead to a prison sentence.”

Last season it went wrong several times
Last month, the Premier League already announced stricter safety measures. For example, visiting clubs are obliged to take more stewards to away games.
Last season it went wrong a number of times in duels in the highest class of England. For example, Aston Villa goalkeeper Robin Olsen was attacked after Manchester City had won the title and Everton fans flocked to the field after the club had managed to avert relegation.
Also, Patrick Vieira, the coach of Crystal Palace, was challenged by a fan as he walked towards the dressing rooms. Vieira brought down the provocative supporter with a leg sweep. The new Premier League season starts on Friday, August 5.
