A spokesperson for CD Projekt told the eurogamer that the company was now working to ensure the new project is “better aligned with CD Projekt Group’s strategy.” In a note to investors, CD Projekt said its decision was made due to reassessing “the scope and commercial potential of the original Project Sirius concept and ongoing work on formulating a new framework for this project.” The statement implies that development on the game has been completely restarted, with or without The Molasses Flood folks. “Our current focus is to ensure that Project Sirius aligns with CD Projekt Group’s strategy. At this time, we are not providing information on the evaluation of the project nor on the possible future structures of the same”, said the company when asked about it by Eurogamer.
