best time to have sex

Did you know that there is an ideal time of day for a good lovemaking? You might think that it is just before going to bed in the evening, but is it really? A scientist has the answer.

Dr. Paul Kelley of Oxford University once researched the ideal time to have sex. For years he researched the inner clock of people in their twenties, thirties and forties and came to the following conclusion.

Twenties

The research shows that people in their twenties are best able to have sex at 3 p.m. At this time, people in their twenties have a so-called energy peak and therefore only really get into the mood around that time .

People in their thirties

For people in their thirties, 08:20 is the most ideal time. Basically, sunlight boosts testosterone by stimulating the hypothalamus (the part of the brain responsible for the hormones), making intercourse ideal at this time.

People in their 40s

For people in their 40s that is 10:20 pm. According to Kelley, this is the time of the day when they can best relax by releasing oxytocin, also known as the cuddle hormone. Sex increases the production of oxytocin, which in turn promotes sleep.

People in their fifties

According to the researcher, 10 p.m. is the ideal time for a lovemaking session for people in their fifties. Because many people in their fifties are very busy during the day, they often have the most sense (and time) for sex around that time, just before going to bed.

Sixties and Seventies

8 p.m. is the ideal time for over-60s to have sex, says Kelley. A few hours after dinner, the body in people in their sixties is prepared to produce oxytocin. Sex at this time also helps you sleep better, according to the sleep expert.
