Kylie Minogue is indeed going back to her native Australia after thirty years. The singer confirmed her relocation plans on Wednesday in conversation with Zoe Ball of BBC Radio 2 and said she was surprised by the many reactions from Britain.
Minogue says she could “hardly believe” the sad reactions, after the news came out via the Daily Mirror on Tuesday. “All kinds of friends called me. A friend from a restaurant around here said, “Kylie, what are you doing? You can’t leave’.”
Minogue made the decision to move after recently spending a lot of time with family in her native country. “That felt good and that’s why I’ve been thinking about this for a while.”
The 53-year-old Spinning Around singer assures the Brits that not much will actually change. “I’m not really going. I’ve lived here for thirty years and I always come back.”
