In the financial report for the quarter ended June 30, 2023, Activision Blizzard showed that PC is currently a more profitable platform for it than Xbox Series and PS5.
According to the company, in the 1st half of the year the PC brought it net revenue of US$ 1.25 billion, while consoles combined made US$ 1.19 billion in the same period. However, not even PC was a match for mobile, which is currently Activision Blizzard’s golden goose, having brought in $1.9 billion.
Diablo is one of the reasons for the success of both PC and mobile, but the main name to explain these numbers is Call of Duty, which has more players on both platforms.
This week Blizzard announced that it will be bringing some of its games to Steam, starting with Overwatch 2, which could help increase revenue earned on PC.
