The film was leaked in its entirety on Twitter and registered almost 10 million views.
According to the forbes, the account was able to upload the movie in high quality in two parts via the Blue subscription service, which allows video uploads of up to an hour in length. The film garnered 9 million views before Twitter took it down, about seven hours after it was made available.
The incident raised questions about the misuse of Blue subscriber tools, in this case being used to illegally promote a film. Questions were also asked about the platform’s ability to prevent piracy.
