Água Santa and Palmeiras – With the District of Inamar stadium, home of Neptune in Diadema, discarded for the decision of the Paulista Championship between Água Santa and Palmeiras, the club from the interior of the state will have to choose a new headquarters until the board meeting to define the details of the final.

According to the regulation proposed by the São Paulo Football Federation (FPF) and signed by the teams before the championship, the stadium that would host the final must have a capacity equal to or greater than 10,000 seats and, in addition, guaranteed artificial light , which prevents the use of the District of Inamar in this case.

From this, Água Santa is studying two viable options for the command of the match: Morumbi, home of São Paulo, and Vila Belmiro, home of Santos. The stadium on the coast of Santos hosted the semifinal between Neptune and Red Bull Bragantino, which ended in a 1-1 tie and was won on penalties by the club from Diadema.

With regard to the will of the directors of Água Santa and coach Thiago Carpini, the desire is to play in Vila. In addition to the friendly relationship between the managements of Neptune and Peixe, Água only had to cover the operational cost of the Santos house, without having to pay extra rent.

However, the possibility of playing at Morumbi is also seen with good eyes by the Diadema club, since the São Paulo tricolor stadium has a much higher capacity than Santos – around 66,000 seats would be made available.

In addition to being able to bring a larger number of fans, Água Santa also considers the issue of the income raised, after all, the club will release all its players by the end of the year, as it will be eight months without games – it will only be part of the national calendar in 2024 .

The two finalist clubs will meet with the FPF and the authorities to define details of the two decisions. The date and time of the meeting have not yet been announced.
