In the night of ‘first goals’, Santos beats Bahia for the Brasileirão

With the result, Santos won the second victory, reached seven points and rose to ninth place in the leaderboard. The team has been unbeaten in Vila Belmiro for ten games this season. Tricolor, on the other hand, parked at six points and has two more for the first team within the relegation zone.

The teams return to the field for the sixth round of the Brazilian Championship next weekend. On Saturday, the 13th, at 4 pm (Brasília time), Bahia opens the round against Flamengo, at Arena Fonte Nova. On Sunday the 14th, at 4pm, Santos will visit Basquein San Januario.

The game

Santos played the first 20 minutes with a lot of intensity at Vila Belmiro and sent the advantage to the break. Peixe opened the scoring after just three minutes, with a goal by Deivid Washington. In the bid, the home team took advantage of the spaces left by Bahia, and Ângelo played for Lucas Lima to finish from outside the area. Unsuccessful, Mendoza was left with the spare and played for the number 35 shirt to complete and score the first goal with the alvinegra shirt: 1 to 0.
