Bragantino and América-MG draw for the Brasileirão

With goals from Helinho and Aloísio, two on each side, Red Bull Bragantino and América-MG were tied 2-2 in the fifth round of the Brasileirão

Red Bull Bragantino It is America-MG were tied by 2-2 on the night of this Wednesday, 10, for the opening of the fifth round of the Brazilian Championship. Helinho scored both goals for Massa Bruta, and Aloísio (twice from the penalty spot) scored by Coelho at Nabi Abi Chedid.

As a result, each team scored one point. Bragantino reached six points and went to 14th place, while América won the first point in the competition and remained in the relegation zone, in 19th place.

The teams return to the field for the sixth round of the Brazilian Championship next weekend. On Saturday, the 13th, at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), Bragantino faces Palmeiras, at Allianz Parque. On Sunday, the 14th, at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), América ends the round against Cruzeiro, at Arena Independência.

The game

The first half was lively at Nabi Abi Chedid. With a balanced start, América-MG opened the scoring in the 13th minute, with a goal by Aloísio, from the penalty spot. The penalty was marked by VAR, after Bruninho reached Juninho: 0 to 1.

The goal did not shake Bragantino, who dominated most of the first half and reached a tie in the 32nd minute, with a goal by striker Helinho. In a free-kick hit by Mateus Pasinato, the ball deflected off Benítez and the number 11 scored a great goal: 1-1.

At 43 minutes, Helinho scored again. On the move, Helinho received the beautiful pass from Aderlan, cleared Coleho’s defense and hit firmly. Pasinato managed to flatten, but did not avoid the turnaround of Massa Bruta: 2 to 1.

América-MG left the goal tied once more in the 32nd minute of the second stage, with another goal by Aloísio. And again from the penalty spot. In the collection, Boi Bandido displaced goalkeeper Cleiton and did not waste: 2 to 2.
