In yet another case of racism in Bahia, the victim films the aggressor and posts it on social media

This past Sunday, another case of racism took place in Bahia and ended up on social media and at the police station. The eyelash beautician Andresa filmed a woman, who, according to her, was bothered by Andresa having sat at a table in a convenience store in the Bahian capital of Salvador, and began to defer profanity and verbally attack with racist connotations.

In the video published by Andresa, it is possible to hear and see the suspect say that “”I don’t like dark people like you. I hate black people, I can’t stand it. It’s up to you to get up from here, I don’t like dark people”. Continuing the video, the person who has not yet been identified completes saying that Andresa should withdraw just because she is black.

Even being verbally attacked, the beautician is not shaken and calmly says that if the woman does not stop offending her, she will call the police.

The victim alleges that she called the police after the recording, but was instructed to look for a police station to file a police report and that at the time of the call, the PM corporation could not send a team. The PM denies in a note that she was triggered.

Andresa claims that she decided to film it to have evidence, because at the time of the attacks she was alone in the place and only a child who sells candy was there.

The video was released by Tiago Melo, who is a friend of the victim and says that when the perpetrator of this racist act is found, he will sue her.

The Military Police say that the police report was drawn up and that now the Specialized Coordination for the Repression of Crimes of Intolerance and Discrimination (COERCID) is working with the investigation to find the suspected attacks.

Last Saturday, also in Salvador, Bahia, another case of racism, this time within a famous supermarket chain, two people were victims of racism and attacked when accused of stealing milk.
