Inter defeats the undefeated Benfica: Check out the post game

Inter de Milan won the match against Benfica, 2-0, this Tuesday (11), at Estádio da Luz, in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. Even with all the press pointing out the favoritism of the Portuguese club, the Italians showed all the determination and overcoming and took the advantage for the decisive game, and could even lose by a goal difference in the next game, which will guarantee their place in the semifinal of the competition.

First time

Benfica having the best attack in the competition and being one of the only undefeated players in the competition, entered the field as the great favorite of the match. But the pressured Internazionale de Milan showed that favoritism is not always decisive for the result of a match. The Italians took 12 shots towards the goal, hitting the goal twice in the last shot of the game. If on the one hand there was a lack of creativity and the will to win, on the Italian side there was discipline and tactical command, from a team that came in under pressure and came for all or nothing, in search of redemption, a breather in the main competition in Europe.

Second time

The two goals of the match came only in the second half of the match. At five minutes, after a move from the left, Bastoni crossed for Barella, who jumped free and headed for the goal.
