Investigation reveals fraud in the health system

In a report presented by the Fantástico program on Sunday (02), it revealed that false doctors who bought the documentation to get the CRM and were already working in the health system were discovered and had their registrations canceled after investigation by the PF.

In 2009, the Medical Councils started replacing the Medical Identity Card with a new one, with more and modern security items and with the possibility of digital certification. The new Medical ID is issued by the Mint, which brings more security and reliability to the document. However, even so, criminals falsify the old wallet or present only fake diplomas to prove training. And now, through an investigation by the Federal Police, a new method of fraud in this sector has been unveiled.

According to Fantástico, the investigation that unraveled the gang that forged medical diplomas began with the complaint of an employee of the Regional Council of Medicine of Rio de Janeiro (Cremerj) to the Federal Police when suspecting documents.

False documents from medical universities, mostly from the State University of Bahia (Uneb) that confirmed the fraud, were used to obtain false records with Cremerj and later sold to false doctors. According to the investigation, 65 illegal documents were registered.

The investigation was able to point out that there was indeed a business structure in this sale of fake diplomas and fake school transcripts”said Francisco Guarani, delegate of the Federal Police.

The counterfeiters forwarded the documentation to Cremerj, by creating false e-mails on behalf of the institutions. The values ​​of false documentation ranged from BRL 45 to BRL 400 thousand, and those investigated who were already working in the area, declared to the PF that they received everything at home, including the course completion papers (TCC).

Among the criminals detained in June by the Federal Police are Valdelírio Barroso Lima, Reinaldo Santos Ramos It is Francisco Gomes Inocêncio Junior. the criminal Ana Maria Monteiro Netaappointed as head of the gang, also had an arrest warrant issued, but is on the run.

The Regional Council of Medicine of Rio de Janeiro changed its documentation verification process and annulled all false records discovered by the investigation.
