Matthew McConaughey Says Woody Harrelson Could Be His Biological Brother

The actors Matthew McConaughey (53) and Woody Harrelson (61), in addition to having worked together on the series “True Detective”, are also friends and Matthew reveals that there is a possibility that the two are brothers.

McConaughey, in a poadcast interview “Let’s Talk Off Camera” in free translation “Let’s Talk Behind the Camera” recent discovery that his mother knew Harrelson’s father intimately and that there is a possibility that he is his biological brother.

“My family thinks and a lot of his pictures are me, his family thinks a lot of my pictures are of him (….) In Greece a few years ago we were sitting around talking about how close we are and our families and etc and my mother was there. And she said, “Woody, I met your daddy” Matthew said

After the news, the actors investigated the families and found that Woody’s father was on leave and lived in the same town as Matthew’s parents at the same time that his parents were getting divorced for the second time.

Despite both having the presumption, Matthew refuses to take the DNA test, he thinks he has to lose after 53 years his father being Woody’s father.

“Look, it’s a little easier for Woody to say ‘Come on, let’s do (DNA tests)’, because what does he have to do with that?” reported the actor

“It’s a little difficult for me because he’s asking me to take a risk and say, ‘Wait a minute, are you trying to tell me that my father might not be my father after 53 years of believing that?’ I have a little more to risk.”. Added McConaughey

In March 2023, the actors released the new series they played together inspired by real life “Brother From Another Mother” in free translation “Brothers from Another Mother” which will be released on Apple TV + which has no premiere date at the moment.
