Now you can have Prime Video with subscription plan + less ads

According to the American vehicle The Wall Street Journal, this Wednesday (7), the amazon plans to offer a subscription plan with advertisements on its streaming service, which Prime Video. No further details are yet known about when the plan will be launched, whether it will include the full catalog of the platform or how much it will cost. In Brazil, the platform arrived in 2016 and today is one of the main streaming options for Brazilians.

Also according to The Walt Street Journal, Amazon is currently in negotiations with Paramount Global and the Warner Bros. discovery to include company commercials in the new plan through the Prime Video Channels.

With the aim of reducing costs, the decision was being studied by the company a few weeks ago. In November of last year, the The New York Times stated that Amazon had plans to carry out a massive layoff, laying off 3% of its employees – about 3 thousand people.

According to the British news agency Reuters, high inflation and interest rates are causing the streaming face a slowdown in new subscribers and mass unsubscriptions from existing customers.

It is worth remembering that Prime Video will not be the first streaming channel to provide a subscription plan with advertisements. the platform Netflix, a competitor of the service, started offering the modality to Brazilian customers in November last year. The plan costs BRL 18.90, but does not provide the complete catalog that is available in other plans.

The streaming channel of disneyO disney+, also provides the modality, although it is not yet available in Brazil and there is also no forecast for the plan to arrive in the country. In the United States, the plan costs 8 dollars, about R$ 39.40.
