Paulista Championship finals, With the agreement signed between the clubs involved in the state decisions, Água Santa will have its full squad in the two games of the final of the Paulista Championship this year. The transfer window for Brazilian football has its closure set for April 4, two days after the first leg of Paulistão.

The situation of the club from Diadema dispensed with this agreement since, due to the fact that it does not have a calendar to compete in national competitions until the end of the year – it will only be in Série D and Copa do Brasil in 2024 – several of the athletes hired for Paulistão will transfer to other clubs until the end of the Brazilian season.

In a meeting held by the CBF with its Technical Council in early 2023, the commitment signed between the 40 clubs that make up Series A and B of the Brazilian Championship determined that the exception be given to players in state finalist clubs.

Initially, the athletes available to Água Santa for the final against Palmeiras would not be allowed to transfer until July 3, the date that marks the opening of the transfer window for Brazilian football in the middle of the year, an issue that the CBF resolved through this agreement.

Another factor that affects the national calendar – and the extension of the transfer period – is the FIFA date, which takes place between the 23rd and 28th of March for the first time since the World Cup in Qatar. The Brazilian team faces Morocco next Saturday (25th), which postponed the end of the Paulista Championship by one week.

The games between Água Santa and Palmeiras valid for the Paulistão 2023 final will be played on the next two Sundays (April 2nd and 9th).
