PS5 Pro dev kits will be sent to studios this year, says website

PS5 Pro development kits (devkits) will be shipped in the coming months to Sony studios such as Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games, Sucker Punch, Santa Monica and others, and third party developers will receive them by the end of the year, as reported by the website Insider Gaming.

According to the journalist and insider of the page, Tom Henderson, Sony is increasing the production of the Ps5 Pro devkits to present the new hardware to the studios. The console is expected to launch in late 2024.

Sony is supposedly providing its teams with enhanced consoles in order to push their games beyond what the PS5 can deliver, but we still don’t know the PS5 Pro’s specs and performance targets.
