What happened is that, recently, Rolling Stones published a report on ‘The Idol’, where according to them, the series would be romanticizing rape and with shocking scenes, containing sexual and physical violence from the characters of Lily Deep and the singer. All the sources interviewed in the article were from people involved in the production of the series, but none of them would have watched the final result of the production, so they do not know what was or was not included.

”A lot of people work hard on these projects. When I’m in my world and you direct criticism at me, that’s fine. I can handle. I can work it out. But you have 200 people working hard on a project like this, it hurts. Especially when what they are saying is far from the truth, but what can you do?’‘, vented.

”I’m more used to it than someone like[series creator]Sam Levinson, who is probably a little used to it by now. And I’m sure Lily is definitely more than the two of us”he added.

The singer also complements saying that over time, he learned to get used to so much criticism and that he always liked more provocative things.

”My stuff has always been kind of provocative. As an artist, you need to know that you can’t please everyone and accept that that comes with the job. You have to remember that everyone who knows you knows that you are a good person. If you’re trying to prove to people that’s a dead end. But what I’ve learned is that, over time, people will learn to understand. But I have thick skin. I’m used to it”ends.

The premiere of the new HBO Max series will take place on June 4, at 10 pm, but will have its first screening at the Cannes festival in May.
