Arturo Vidal signs a contract until the end of the season!

This Friday (14), Athletico Paranaense announced the signing of Chilean defensive midfielder Arturo Vidal, who is 36 years old. The player signed a contract valid until the end of this season with the club from Curitiba and will wear the shirt number 23 of Furacão.

Athletico managed to settle with Vidal after the Chilean terminated his contract with Flamengo. The player received R$ 1.6 million as payment from the Rio de Janeiro team on his departure.

In an interview with the club’s official website, Vidal said that it was incredible to meet Athletico Paranaense and that he was delighted with the club and its structure. The player also said that he knows the team’s potential to win big titles and made it clear that he wants to win another Libertadores.

“When people at the club spoke to me, they made me feel the same way I felt when I left Chile. At the end of the interview, the Chilean said that the Athletic fans will be able to expect a lot from him on the pitch.

Arturo Vidal began his career at Colo-Colo, in Chile, where he was three times national champion. In Europe, the player has played for great teams, such as Barcelona, ​​Bayern Munich and Juventus.
