Chris Evans named the sexiest man – Chris Evans has been named the sexiest man on earth by People Magazine. The actor succeeds his Captain America counterpart Paul Rudd, who received the title last year.

According to Evans, his mother will be especially happy with his new title. “She’s proud of everything I do, but this is something she can really brag about,” the 41-year-old actor told People Magazine.

“This interview is difficult for me. It feels like a crazy form of false modesty,” Evans confesses. Nevertheless, the American thinks he will look back on it with pride in the future. “When I’m old and saggy.”

People has been awarding the title to people in the entertainment industry since 1985. Mel Gibson was the very first to be named sexiest man. George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Bradley Cooper also received the title. In more recent years, they were Idris Elba, John Legend and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
