The Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 will add a completely new ending to the base game when it launches on September 26th.
Director Gabe Amatengelo told the site wccftech that while the expansion itself has multiple endings and narrative options to choose from, making certain decisions within it can unlock a sixth ending in Cyberpunk 2077.
According to the director, the new ending “has to do with the new relationships, characters and situations” present in Phantom Liberty.

In an interview to IGNAmatangelo had said that the Phantom Liberty trailer shows that netrunner Songbird promises protagonist V to be able to deal with the problem he has with the Relic that is killing him, so the new ending may have something to do with that.
Those who zeroed Cyberpunk 2077 know that in all endings there is no definitive solution for V, since to remove the relic from his head it is necessary to kill himself, Johnny Silverhand or both.
With the new ending, maybe V will finally have a happy ending to his journey.
