Initially he was in a lucid condition, dehydrated and adrift for two days. We brought him to the Florianópolis base, where there was a Samu base to receive him and give him first aid”.

According to the Navy, Deivid had severe hypothermia and was rescued about 200 kilometers off the coast of Santa Catarina. The first medical aid already on land was provided by a team from the Arcanjo helicopter, from the Military Fire Department of Santa Catarina.
