The Argentine star was suspended for two weeks by the French club after traveling without permission to Saudi Arabia, missing a training session. The Argentine player has also been the target of protests from fans of the PSG since last week.

Last Friday, the 5th, Messi opened the game about the recent conflicts with the club in relation to his trip to Saudi Arabia, which had not been authorized by the board or technical commission. The Argentine playmaker apologized for the attitude.

“I thought we would have a day off after the game, as usual. I had this trip arranged and I couldn’t cancel it. I had already canceled before… I apologize to my teammates and await what the club wants to do with me”, scored Messi in a recorded message.

According to the French press, Messi’s apology was well received behind the scenes at PSG, who decided to reduce the player’s suspension. He may be available for next Saturday’s game against Ajaccio.
