Apartamento 03 presents a collection at SPFW in honor of the artist Estevão Silva

To the 55th edition of SPFWThe Apartment 03 presents the “Silva” collection in partnership with pure, brand of classic and timeless shoes. The 2024 summer collection is inspired by the artist’s still life works Stephen Silvaconsidered the first prominent black painter of the 19th century, graduated from the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro.

In a collab especially with Pura, all shoes were developed especially for the show. Around 30 pairs of three different models were produced, using leather and fabrics from the Silva collection.

With a bold and stimulating color chart, classic tones such as black, off-white and burgundy complement shades of blue or metallic green. The prints, also inspired by the works of Estevão Silva, evoke the connection between the fruit, the land and the fertility of the Brazilian land.

“Son of enslaved people who ‘…it is not possible for there to be a more exact color, a more precious design, than the color and the design… that are seen on his canvases’ – Apartamento 03’s Summer 2024 dives into the narratives about the painter Estevão Roberto Silva, and rare are the records that tell the story of the first black artist trained at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro in the 19th century”says Luiz Claudio, stylist and creative director of the brand.

For this collection, Apartamento 03 rescues atelier techniques and invests in pleats and transparencies, in addition to maintaining the essence of the brand through elegant and well-cut tailoring. The search for genuine Brazilian art led the still-life painter to question the artistic norms of his time. In “SILVA”, Luiz Cláudio, who also has Silva in his last name, reinterprets the values ​​cultivated until then, bringing power from the name to the design of the pieces. The result is a striking, contemporary and meaningful collection.

SILVA is about crossing time, it’s about resistance and construction, it’s symbolic permanence.
