Botafogo x Corinthians: check schedule, where to watch and match preview

In a match valid for the fifth round of the Brazilian Championship, Corinthians visits Botafogo on Thursday night (11), at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Nilton Santos stadium, in Rio de Janeiro. The duel will be broadcast on Premiere.

Owner of the house, Botafogo won the two games he played under his command in the tournament. Last Sunday (7), the team from Rio was the owner of the night and beat Atlético-MG by 2 to 0. In the opening round of the Brasileirão 2023, they had overcome São Paulo, in the end, by 2 to 1.

On the other hand, Corinthians is looking for its first victory away from home in the current edition of the championship. On the two previous occasions, he was defeated: 3-1 against Goiás, in Serrinha, and 2-1 in the derby against Palmeiras, at Allianz Parque.

Deputy leader of the Brasileirão – he was momentarily surpassed by Palmeiras, who thrashed Grêmio, yesterday (10), by 4 to 1 –, Botafogo hopes to maintain 100% of success, in addition to the undefeated sequence of 14 matches. The club’s performance in the first four games is the best since 1981.

Meanwhile, Corinthians is looking for its first victory since Vanderlei Luxemburgo took over the team. With the coach, Timão drew with Fortaleza, in the last round, in Itaquera, in addition to being defeated by Independiente Del Valle, for the Copa Libertadores, also at home.

For today’s game, Luís Castro will not have significant absences and will have the main squad for the duel against Corinthians. On the side of the São Paulo team, Fausto Vera (suspended), Guilherme Biro (under-20 team) and Renato Augusto (injured) will be the most felt absences.
