HOMEMADE SOAP
INGREDIENTS
- 2 liters of water
- half a cup of washing powder
- 1 kilo of caustic soda
- 5 ml of essence to your liking
- 4 liters of strained cooking oil
METHOD OF PREPARATION
Start by dissolving the caustic soda in 1 ½ liters of hot water in a bucket, taking care not to splash it on your skin or eyes. Add the washing powder and the rest of the hot water, mixing well with a wooden spoon.
Then slowly pour this mixture into the previously heated oil and stir continuously for about 20 minutes. It is important to mix well to ensure that all ingredients are incorporated.
Finally, add the essence of your choice and mix again. Pour the mixture into the chosen molds and let it dry for a few hours. The next day, unmold and cut into pieces of the desired size. That’s it, your homemade soap is ready to use!
