The life of the Kardashian-Jenner family can be followed from Thursday on Disney +. In their own words, the series The Kardashians is more intimate, better produced and more topical than previous reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians. We will also see the reality stars more often separately from each other.
The E! reality series Keeping Up With the Kardashians ended last June after twenty seasons. Not long after, The Kardashians was announced: a multi-year collaboration between the family and Disney.
Although in both series the personal lives of the reality stars are central, in the new series things will change.
For example, The Kardashians is presented more as a documentary series. The series would also be more intimate than Keeping Up. “My goal,” Kim explains to Variety, “was that it feels familiar, like, oh my God, they’re back, but updated or just a little more intimate.”
The fourth wall is regularly broken, the family then addresses the viewers directly.

The events from the lives of the reality stars will now be seen more quickly in the series. The time between filming and production is shorter and the images are therefore more likely to be online, according to Variety. “We want it to be as up-to-date as possible,” kim said.
The family members can more often be seen separately from each other. “You used to only see us together as a family. Now our individual journey and our daily lives are more portrayed. And we come together in a natural way when it comes from it,” says Kim.
Previously, the family members were forcibly brought together to film them together.
There is now more budget and therefore the makers think they can increase the quality of the production. For example, we can expect a lot of drone shots. Also, the audio would be of better quality.
