Liverpool beat Fulham, but Premier League G-4 remain distant

O Liverpool won the Fulham 1-0 this Wednesday, 03, in a delayed game of the 28th round of the Premier League. In a game without many emotions, the Reds confirmed their triumph at Anfield with a goal from Mohamed Salahfrom the penalty spot, scored in the first stage.

With the fifth consecutive victory, the Reds reached 59 points and touched the G-4. The team led by coach Jurgen Klopp is in fifth place, four points behind Manchester United, which has two games in hand and closes the qualifying zone for the Champions League. The team from Greater London, on the other hand, stopped at 45 points, in 10th position.

The teams return to the field for the 35th round of the English Championship next weekend. On Saturday, the 6th, from 1:30 pm (Brasília time), Liverpool will host the Brentford, at Anfield. On Monday, the 8th, at 11 am (Brasília time), Fulham will face Leicesterat home.

The game

Liverpool started better in the match, but gave way to Fulham’s growth at Anfield. But it was in the visitors’ best moment that the Reds opened the scoring, in the 39th minute.
