The Medium’s studio – Developer Bloober Team, responsible for The Medium, Blair Witch, Observer and Layers of Fear games, said it has been working for over a year on a “horror IP” with a “very famous game publisher”, as reported by the CEO , Piotr Babieno, to the GamesIndustry website .

“We’ve been working for over a year on another game project, another horror IP, and we’re doing it with a very famous game publisher,” said Babieno. “I can’t tell you who. I can’t say what the project is, but I’m sure when people see that we’re working on it, they’ll be really excited.”

Still according to Babieno, the next Bloober Team projects will not be simply horror games, but actually “thrillers”, in order to attract more people.
“If you think about Resident Evil 8, Hellblade 2, and even The Last of Us in some ways… This is the area we would like to be in,” said the executive. “And yet we would like to keep our DNA, showing some fears and emotions, those things that are hidden from our eyes. But then again, we wouldn’t want to make the environment our narrative, but have a ‘real’ narrative with characters, action and so on.”
He concluded by saying, “They will still be Bloober Team games, and everyone who plays them will realize that. But they will be much more oriented towards mass commercialization.”
