A few months after the release of his most recent album, called “McCartney III Imagined”, former Beatle Paul McCartney returned to the spotlight with a fantastic generational phonographic action by releasing a kaleidoscopic version of the album. He produced the album during social isolation, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, doing all the voices and playing all the instruments. Now, the CD has returned to the scene with a different treatment for each track. The songs are the same 11 songs from disc three, but different from anything the public has ever heard.

The singer had already done something similar in other lonely moments of his career. In 1970, in a moment of isolation after the end of the Beatles, he produced the first album in the “McCartney” trilogy; a decade later came “McCartney II”, after the end of Wings. “McCartney III Imagined” was a record produced without direct contact with composers, etc.
“The result has fluctuating temperatures, but the proposal can be, in many moments, 'an example for all of us'.” wrote Rolling Stones magazine in the United States.
“McCartney himself chose the artists he would give each of the songs to so they could arrange them however they wanted.” says the text sent by the record company.

For the second track on the album, Paul brought in singer-songwriter Beck to rework the song “Find my way”. The song, which previously had a more electronic feel, gained a new, slightly calmer version, as the song “The Kiss of Venus” was remixed by North American rapper Dominic Fike. As he was an artist considered controversial, this was McCartney's way of connecting with new generations.
The album also featured the participation of the North American rock trio Khruangbin and other artists such as: Laura Lee, Mark Speeger, Donald DJ Johnson, with the singer St. Vicent, the singer Devonté Hynes, better known as Blood Orange, the singer and guitarist Phoebe Bridgers, guitarist Ed Obrien, producer Paul Richard Epworth, among others.
