Nintendo Switch now offers a function that allows you to categorize games. Nintendo started rolling out the update that makes the feature available on Tuesday.

The feature, called ‘Groups’, will be available with the software update to version 14.0.0. The new function can be found in the main menu of the Switch, under the heading ‘All software’. 

If you want to create a group, press the L button.

You can only create maps if you have more than twelve Switch games. The feature allows you to create up to one hundred folders, with up to two hundred games per folder. You can name all folders.

Another feature that comes with the update is to increase the volume of paired Bluetooth headsets.

The volume of the wireless headset can also be adjusted via the volume buttons of the Switch. However, the headset must support the AVRCP profile. 

This Bluetooth profile is used to send commands such as fast forward or pause from, for example, the headset to the Switch.

The Nintendo Switch Lite is designed specifically for handheld play—so you can jump into your favorite games wherever you happen to be. The Nintendo Switch Lite comes in five colors: blue, yellow, gray, turquoise, and coral.

Local wireless Integration

Now you can link up to eight Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite systems together to play multiplayer games anywhere.

Wants Online play

Team up or face off with others online** in compatible games with a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
