O Rei do Gado: Nervous with Marcos, Liliana goes into labor

This Monday, May 1st, the scene where Marcos (Fábio Assunção) calls Liliana (Mariana Lima).

The conversation between them is not very good and the girl starts to feel sick. She goes into labor and is taken to the maternity ward.

WHAT ELSE HAPPENS IN THE CHAPTER OF O REI DO GADO

Bruno arrives in Ribeirão with Zé do Araguaia. Marcos tells his father that things got worse for him in Minas and that Bordon warned that Deputy Valdir will want to catch them before Deputy Josimar, because they are a family of killers.
Bruno promises worlds and funds for Zé to find Luana. Luana and Maria da Luz arrive home.

Josimar tells Clóvis about the accusation that Marcos already has in Guaxupé. He is considering asking for pre-trial detention. Bruno worries about Marcos’ situation and how many of his life he will lose. Marcos asks his father to support Liliana. Lia and Aparício argue because she wants to stay with her family and he wants to hit the road. Bruno advises Lia about Aparício. Judite tells Valdir that Rafaela won’t be back until Geremias arrives from Italy. Geremias in Italy. Judite and Tavinho conclude that Rafaela invented everything and that she was the one who shot Geremias. Luana in the cane field. Valdir frustrated by the lack of substance in his case. Marcos tells Lia that he’s in a lot of trouble and ‘jokes’ that he’s going to get 40 years in prison, adding up the crimes of Guaxupé and Guarujá.

Deputy Bordon warns Bruno that Deputy Josimar will probably want to ask for Marcos’ preventive arrest for, in theory, having already killed another in Minas. He advises that Bruno immediately call his lawyer. Judite and Tavinho comment that Luana/Marieta’s mistake was leaving the farm. Zé calls Bruno giving news that there is still no sign of Luana. Luana cutting cane. Bruno tells Marcos that the prosecutor accepted Josimar’s complaint and Marcos will have to answer for Ralf’s death. Marcos revolted by the bad luck of the high tide. He calls Liliana, who feels sick. Marcos leaves in a hurry and Lia thinks her brother has turned himself in to the police. Liliana goes into labor and goes to the maternity ward with Rosa. Police tell Josimar that Geraldino has disappeared. Clóvis advises the police chief to arrest Marcos while there is still time.

“O Rei do Gado” is a Brazilian telenovela produced by TV Globo. It aired from June 17, 1996 to February 14, 1997, replacing “The End of the World”. It was written by Benedito Ruy Barbosa, with the collaboration of Edmara Barbosa and Edilene Barbosa, with general direction by Luiz Fernando Carvalho. Marcos arrives at Liliana’s house and discovers that she has already gone to the maternity ward. He runs there just in time to see the child being born. Marcos and Lili enjoy their newborn son together. Marcos and Rosa celebrate the baby’s birth. He calls the family to break the news. Liliana gets flowers from Bruno and a card recognizing her grandson as Mezenga. Marcos fears prison and says he saw his son being born and nothing else matters. Bruno reflects on Luana and her son. He tells Marcos that he will do whatever it takes to help him through the process. Liliana tells her father that he is already a grandfather. Quite moved, he complains of having always been absent from his daughter’s story. Rosa complains about her ex-husband to Liliana and hopes he can settle down with Chiquita.

Bruno and Lia see the baby in the nursery and greet Liliana. Judite tells Valdir that Rafaela lost the baby. He confirms that Bruno was in Ribeirão on the day of the attack on Geremias and suspects that Rafaela was the author of the crime. Luana in the cane field. Bruno meets his grandson and Liliana breastfeeds. Geremias travels by train in Italy. Valdir asks to see the ammunition box of Geremias’ gun to look for fingerprints. Senator Roberto Caxias arrives at the maternity ward. Thrilled, Roberto declares himself to his daughter and grandson. Chiquita explains to Quitéria about Roberto’s proposals. Quitéria asks why Chiquita wants to destroy Roberto’s life.
