Phil Spencer disappointed that Redfall didn’t live up to expectations

Xbox boss Phil Spencer got candid during a channel chat Kinda Funny Games when commenting on Redfall, talking about his disappointment involving the game.

“I’m disappointed. I’m upset with myself. The response from the critics wasn’t what we would have liked,” said Spencer, who also praised Arkane Austin, but stated that “the team didn’t meet its own internal goals when the game launched.”

Additionally, he commented on the fact that the game was not released with support for 60 fps on the Xbox Series, considering it a “jaw punch”. In addition, he stressed that they need to lift their heads, see what went wrong, and improve to ensure that this does not happen again.
