The 26-year-old Rahm hit his birdies on a par 4 (17th hole) and a par 5 (18th and final hole). The 38-year-old Oosthuizen also finished his tournament with a birdie, but on the par 4 he had to settle for a bogey.

It is the first time Rahm has won one of the golfing majors (Masters, PGA Championship, US Open and British Open). The former world number one has often finished in the top five at one of the four major tournaments.
At the beginning of this month, Rahm suffered a major disappointment. The new winner of the US Open was a few weeks ago, thanks to a big lead, for the title at the USPGA Memorial Tournament in Ohio, but he tested positive for the coronavirus and could not finish the tournament.( golfer Jon Rahm wins his first major at US)
“I’m someone who believes very much in karma,” Rahm said after his title at the US Open. “I have remained very positive after what happened a few weeks ago, knowing that there would still be beautiful things ahead. This means a lot to me.”
