SPFW: David Lee celebrates his career with a collection inspired by the northeastern fair

Born in Ceará, the stylist David Lee conquered the world of fashion with its modern and authentic pieces. Curious about shapes, weaves and movements, David has a lot of experience and his career is already quite solid in the fashion world. Coming to complement his ‘curriculum’, in addition to his ten years of career, the stylist debuted at SPFW this year. David has already participated in the Veste Rio New Talents Platform and has already exhibited his clothes at the London fashion week.

He even shared that ‘it’s all about the creativity and inventiveness of the people of the Nordestand’ and that his plays were born precisely there. In addition, the collection gained very vivid colors such as browns, blues and greens that mixed with accessories, props and beautiful details that made the stylist’s bet a real success.

David Lee says he sees himself more as a fashion researcher than anything else. For him, using his traditional crochet is more than creating a piece, but highlighting a history of his people and reaffirming the infinite possibilities of creations through clothing. The stylist also reinforced that through its designers, “it is possible to think of a future world for men’s fashion, in addition to welcoming poetry, sewing sensitive narratives and giving space to the expression of freedom”.

One of the most talked about pieces in David’s collection was his shirt and short shorts set with stripe patterns in references to traditional fairground bags.

Another highly commented piece was the designer’s new perspective on the beach. Referring to the idea of ​​’Praia do Futuro’, David’s models wore an unusual combination for the beach environment. With funky shorts and silver leggings, bags still adorned the cool look.

The collection, which was developed in less than a month, reflects much of the artist’s sensibility and David knows how to mix his local influence with a dose of talent, creativity and modernity.
