Ferulic acid is beneficial for overall cell performance. Strengthening the growth and creation of new cells, reducing the signs of premature aging. It also hydrates, protects from the sun and contributes to preventing the appearance of acne, being an advantageous antioxidant, which provides hydrogen to neutralize radicals.
Try to be careful with the mixture of acids, as in addition to being harmful, they can cause adverse reactions. As an example, do not mix ferulic acid and retinol, this combination can cause burning or redness. The same goes for salicylic acid, which is often used for acne treatments.
There are foods that naturally have acid so that the use of products is not necessary, such as: brown rice, avocado, oat flakes, grapefruit, green corn, eggplant, beetroot, among many others. If you choose creams, use a maximum of 3 to 4 times a week, more than that is not necessary, according to some specialists it is good for both sensitive and dry skin or acne. However, always seek the help of a professional and nothing replaces sunscreen.
