Volkswagen shuts down factories
Volkswagen has to temporarily shut down two German factories next week because supplies from Ukraine have been disrupted by the war. Certain cable sets are produced in the Eastern European country, among other things. There are also certain materials.
According to the German car group, the disruption of the supply chain has consequences for the factories in Dresden and Zwickau. They are not expected to be in operation for a few days.
Volkswagen shuts down factories
The closures mean that about twelve hundred fewer cars can be made every day. It would mainly affect the production of the electric ID models. They are produced in Zwickau.
