Evidence emerges of the existence of a PC version of Bloodborne

Modder Lance McDonald, responsible for making the 60 fps patch for Bloodborne, noticed interesting details involving some photos published on the game’s Fandom Wiki, more specifically of the items Oil Urns or Oil Pitchers.

According to him, the photos were uploaded to the Wiki by Marcos Domenech, an environment artist at FromSoftware using a version of Bloodborne for Windows.

He clarifies that this is a full version of the game running on the operating system and not a preview or initial version, because of the loading icon in the corner of the image. This means Marcos has the full game running on his PC, which is awesome.

Lance continues the explanation by saying that the photos were named “SPRJ-win64”, which is the name the game uses when you take a photo in the debug menu. They were also taken using the debug camera, which no one had access to until the patch he made for Bloodborne and made available a month ago.

Finally, he made it clear that this is something from many years ago, but that he only realized now. He has said before that he had seen Bloodborne running on PC and that the development team used that version of the game constantly. Sadly, he still doesn’t believe we’ll ever get our hands on her.

Let’s hope he’s wrong on that one and Sony eventually announces Bloodborne for PC at some point. Who knows even at PlayStation Showcase 2023, which will take place next Wednesday (24).
