How to play free games on Netflix – You can find your favourite movies and series in the Netflix apps. But did you know that you also get games with your subscription? This way you play those games at no extra cost.

Netflix is making good progress in the field of games and wants to go further and further into that. For example, the streaming company bought three development studios that will make games for the platform and deals were made to offer games to their subscribers.

Those subscribers, however, appear to make little use of it. There are now 26 games available, which have only been downloaded a total of 23.3 million times. There are 1.7 million daily Netflix gamers. Out of the total number of subscribers of 220.7 million, that is less than 1 percent. Still, Netflix wants to double the number of games before the end of the year.

Actually, it is a shame that few people know how to find these games, because there are pretty good games among them. Standouts include the tactical game Into the Breach, in which you take turns moving futuristic tanks to defeat gruesome creatures. The strange platformer Poinpy and the emotional Before Your Eyes, which you play by blinking your eyes, are also worth a try.

Netflix’s games don’t require a console or PC, as they can only be played on mobile devices. So you have enough with your smartphone to dive into these games.

This is how you find the games
One of the problems is probably that netflix’s games are not that easy to find. You do not see the games if you watch Netflix via a TV or game console, for example, but only if you use the app on your smartphone.

Open the Netflix app on your phone, where you will find a row of mobile games in addition to all series and movies. In the Android app, you will also see a separate tab at the bottom of the screen for all Netflix games. Tap a game that seems interesting to you to read the description.

You will also see the ‘Download Game‘ button. Tapping that will open the Play Store or App Store and take you directly to the game. You can now download it at no extra cost. The games also don’t include any in-game purchases, so you don’t have to unlock any extras with money.

Without a Netflix app
If you never actually use the Netflix app on your phone, you can also find the games separately in the app store of your smartphone. If you’re not sure which game you’re looking for, you’ll find many of the available games by simply searching for “Netflix games.”

You can recognize the games by the logo with the red N in the image. When you open the game, all you need to do is sign in to your Netflix profile. Then you select which user is playing. Your progress in the games will be linked to the individual Netflix profile.
