Brazilians score as Liverpool draw with Arsenal and lead slips

 

Arsenal’s taboo at Anfield continues. Even leaving in front of the scoreboard, Mikel Arteta’s team suffered a 2-2 tie this Sunday against Liverpool in the final minutes. The match was marked by confusion at halftime and goals from Brazilian strikers.

With the draw, Liverpool continues with the invincibility at Anfield against Arsenal in a Premier League match. The Gunners haven’t beaten the Reds away from home since September 2012.

Arsenal remain at the top of the Premier League with 73 points, six points more than second-placed Manchester City. The Gunners have now played 30 competition games. While the Citizens played one less.

Liverpool, on the other hand, is in eighth place in the table, with 44 points, 12 points less than Manchester United, the last team in the G4.

Arsenal are back on the field next Sunday, against West Ham, away from home, at 10 am.

Liverpool will also play away from home in the next round, against Leeds, next Monday, at 4 pm.
