Iran violates nuclear agreement, A statement made by US President and he also welcomes continued talks.
US President Joe Biden said on the 16th that Iran produced 60% enriched uranium at a nuclear facility in central Natanz, “it violates the nuclear agreement. It is useless.” He avoided strong criticism and welcomed Iran’s policy of continuing indirect talks, saying “Iran is pleased to continue discussions with us.” He spoke at a press conference after the Japan-US summit meeting with Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.
Iran started 60% enrichment on the 14th to counter the sabotage of the Natanz facility on the 11th, which is suspected of involving Israel. The enrichment of 60% is the highest level in Iran’s nuclear development history due to a serious breach of the nuclear agreement, which approaches 90% of the nuclear weapons class at once.
