Two renowned industry insiders have corroborated the existence of a new portable PlayStation, with one of them, Tom Henderson, of Insider Gaming saying that it is an accessory that will be used on the PS5 with the Remote Play function.

The claim differs from that made by another journalist and insider, Jeff Grubb, who said he had heard it was a cloud gaming device.

According to Henderson, the laptop’s codename is Q Lite and will support streaming PS5 games via Remote Play at up to 1080p and 60 fps, requiring it to be connected to the internet at all times to function.

The insider claims to have seen Q Lite prototypes, which he says resemble the Dual Sense controller, but with an 8-inch LCD touchscreen in the middle of it.

Henderson also heard from his sources that the device is currently undergoing quality assurance testing and stated that it will launch before the PS5 with removable reader drive and the rumored PS5 Pro.
