Premier League sensation signs former Fluminense player for astronomical fee

João Pedro signed a five-year contract with Brighton. That is, until mid-2028, the Brazilian striker will be part of the white and blue squad. That will be the same duration of his contract with Watford. At the beginning of the season, the boy had renewed his contract with the English second division team, but the English market was already watching him with intentions of signing him.

At the beginning of 2022/23, João Pedro was very close to closing a deal with Newcastle. The Magpies showed great interest in signing the Brazilian, but Watford played hard and didn’t release him. Months later, Brighton came up with an even bigger offer and couldn’t hold it. If you reach contractual goals, the amount of the transfer could increase to up to 200 million reais.
