Reynaldo Gianecchini appears with dyed hair in an advertising campaign

Exactly 16 years after starring in an advertising campaign for fabric softener, Reynaldo Gianecchini returns to lend its charisma to the brand. But with one detail: moreno!

“I loved Bombril’s invitation to do a campaign for Mon Bijou again. The last one I made, 16 years ago, was a success and one of my favorites, because it talks about a product so familiar, which has always been in our homes, in an affectionate, fun, creative way. The face of the brand!”, he said, without mentioning the transformation.

“And this current one is going to be even better, with a bigger family of products and a lot of inspiration! We did an incredible (and fun) job in the capture and I already want to see the result (yes, there was music and a little dance! hehe). It’s great to be part of this moment for the company. Bombril with all its lines is in the home of Brazilians and being part of this family is a pleasure!”, said the actor.

Hired for work, he also stressed that he does not think about returning to making soap operas: “At the moment, no. I’m really excited to do things I haven’t done yet. I only made soap operas for 22 years. I did very little theater, movies, series. I wanted to focus more on these short, intense projects.”

WHY DOES GIANECCHINI NOT ASSUME A RELATIONSHIP?

At the age of 50, the actor continues to perform at Teatro Raul Cortez, in São Paulo, with the show “A Herança”, a show unlike anything he has ever performed. On stage, the ex-husband of Marília Gabriela lives a gay conversationalist that the actor compares to “a gay Bolsonarist in Brazil”.

The play presents the homosexual community, from different generations, in the United States: “A job like this obviously has a lot at stake. There’s ‘I’ wanting to delve deeper into this subject, understand better and look at this community like a magnifying glass. There are ‘me’ also wanting to live this process, to see how it affects me”, he told Veja magazine.

I love talking about my freedom, being able to be who I am with all the nuances”.

Emphasizing that he did not become a militant of the gay cause, the artist pondered: “My flag is to be free. And maybe my biggest militancy is the choices I make. This piece, for example, is a militancy. I started talking about my more fluid sexuality when I felt mature. I had already looked enough inside to understand and be able to talk about it. Everyone has their time to do this, let it come out. Possibly before, I would not have been mature, nor ready to speak and accept this work. We live in an extremely repressed society, in addition to being straight and homophobic. People prefer to criticize other people’s sexuality, because they don’t look at themselves properly”.

Asked if he would be ready to assume a gay relationship, he hesitated: “I don’t know if I would be willing to assume it. When I have a relationship, I’ll think, whoever it is, whatever gender it is… Then I’ll understand if I want it to remain private or if I want to open it up. It’s not a schedule.”
